Hello everyone,
Our Protoss army continues to progress as we prepare our upcoming battle report. Today, we’re highlighting an absolutely iconic element of this faction, the Pylon. A true cornerstone of their technology, it’s a miniature we particularly enjoy, both for its design and its strategic role on the tabletop.
In terms of rules, the Pylon introduces a mechanic that is both simple and very interesting. It is free in terms of points and can be deployed almost anywhere on the battlefield, allowing units to appear nearby and faithfully recreating the feel of the video game.
However, using it requires some anticipation. Just like in its original version, you need to wait a certain amount of time before you can take advantage of its power. This adds a real tactical dimension, as your opponent will have to make a crucial decision, ignore the Pylon and risk reinforcements appearing, or focus their fire on it at the expense of other potentially dangerous targets.
The true strength of the Pylon also lies in its strategic resilience. Even if destroyed, it can be placed elsewhere on the battlefield, provided you have the necessary card to include it in your army. This ability to return to play makes it a constant source of pressure, forcing your opponent to stay alert throughout the game.
In keeping with our Zealots, we chose a consistent color scheme to maintain a cohesive army on the tabletop. This Pylon was painted using a quick method, with a particular focus on lighting effects to highlight its characteristic energy.
We hope you like it! Don’t hesitate to rate our articles and leave a comment, your feedback is always appreciated. On our side, we’re continuing to work hard on painting to make sure everything is ready in time for next week.
