High Elf Project: Noble on Griffon

Hello everyone,

Today, we’re presenting the first unit from our Island of Blood starter set army.

This isn’t really a test miniature, as some of the colour choices will remain exclusive to this character. The blue armour, in particular, is reserved for this noble and will not be used on the rest of the army. For the other units, I will be following a more traditional and consistent colour scheme.

Nevertheless, this miniature helps establish the overall direction of the army’s appearance. The cloth elements will notably feature the turquoise blue seen here, which will serve as a recurring colour throughout the force. The goal is to create a strong overall visual cohesion across the army.

The rest of the army will likely take a little longer to complete. At the time, we sold off most of the remaining contents of the box. Since Warhammer Fantasy Battle had been discontinued and the High Elves were not included in Age of Sigmar, we mainly kept the Skaven models and had no real plans to build a High Elf army in the future.

For now, we will probably focus on our Night Goblins. We already own an army dating back to the Warhammer Fantasy Battle era, which we kept so that we could still play the occasional game when the opportunity arose. This will allow us to make quicker progress on an already well-established project before returning to the High Elves.
