Hello everyone,
Here is the latest miniature completing our 1100 points Protoss army list for the upcoming battle report. This marks a short pause in the project before moving on to a 2000 points format for a future clash.
Unfortunately, we cannot reveal much more for now, as this upcoming battle report is tied to the next waves of releases. But don’t worry, we will be back very soon with more information as soon as we are able to share additional details.
Artanis is currently, in our opinion, one of the most powerful characters in the game. Versatile, extremely reliable in combat, and capable of hitting on a 2+, he can further increase his effectiveness thanks to tactical cards.
His Phase Prism ability is especially formidable, allowing Artanis to teleport in place of a friendly unit on the battlefield. This provides excellent tactical control and can completely turn around a fight that seemed lost, while also limiting the damage Artanis himself might suffer.
His Lightning Dash ability is just as impressive. Every time he charges, Artanis inflicts 6 impact hits, enabling him to heavily weaken enemy units without requiring too many additional resources.
On top of that, he boasts excellent durability with a large number of health points combined with his shield. Clearly, Artanis is far from an ordinary character: he represents a major threat on the battlefield and can even feel somewhat overpowered in smaller-format games, despite costing roughly a quarter of your army’s total points.
For Artanis, we chose to follow the same color scheme as the rest of our army while adding several golden elements to better distinguish him on the battlefield and emphasize his heroic status.
We also adapted the base as best we could so it would visually blend in with the rest of the army, even though the original base is fully sculpted. The kit actually includes two different base options as well as four possible poses for Artanis, allowing for plenty of customization depending on personal preference.
Finally, Artanis gives you the option to recruit a unit of Praetors, upgraded Zealots that are especially fearsome in combat and definitely not something to take lightly once engaged. We are already looking forward to painting them and seeing them join the army on the tabletop.
