Hello everyone,
The blog is finally getting back up to a satisfying cruising speed, and we hope that the various issues we have encountered over the past few weeks are now behind us. So, here is a quick overview of what we have been working on this week!
We’ll start with StarCraft: TMG, with our take on the increasing release pace for the miniatures and our current involvement with the game. We hope to establish at least some form of partnership with HiigyTV and Studio Archon in the future, but unfortunately, we haven’t heard anything from them so far. Since some painters have already received Wave 3, we can only assume that, for the time being, we have unfortunately been left out.
We are also continuing our series of articles dedicated to Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower, with a new miniature gallery featuring the game’s bosses this week. The common enemies will be featured in a future gallery article before we finally move on to our first quest.
Over at Games Workshop, the pre-painted scenery went up for pre-order this Saturday and, despite the price tag, seems to have found its audience. We therefore published an article looking at the pros and cons of this scenery. A detailed review will follow soon to complement that article. At the time of writing, we simply couldn’t confirm whether we would be able to review the scenery, but we have finally managed to get our hands on a set! We will therefore soon be able to give you a proper hands-on review and see whether the quality actually lives up to expectations.
Our Kraken Cup 2026–2027 league is also in full swing, with the presentation of Matchday #2. Our match took place yesterday and, just as we did with the conclusion of Matchday #1, we will soon be bringing you a detailed report of the game.
Finally, we have started a new series of beginner-friendly tutorials, which ties in with our goal of creating articles inspired by the spirit of White Dwarf #1. We have started with an article covering how to prepare your miniatures before painting.
The aim of this series is to gradually cover the different techniques involved in the hobby. However, these articles take quite a lot of time to put together, so we will be publishing them progressively as we work through them. You will be able to find them all in a dedicated category for beginner tutorials.
As for our list, we certainly haven’t abandoned it! We have started working on it and hope to bring you our review of White Dwarf #2 as early as next week.
