Hello everyone,
Here’s a new article featuring the Doomseeker, accompanied by a few additional Doomseekers to bolster the ranks of the army.
Unfortunately, the range quickly shows its limitations, as there are only four different sculpts available. This means units can start to look rather repetitive. Hopefully, Games Workshop will eventually release them in plastic, offering greater variety and more opportunities for customization.
As this is part of a collaboration with Aubec, there’s a good chance this is only the beginning. Given the impressive Slayer army he already owns, there’s no doubt that many more Doomseekers will soon be joining the ranks.
As we didn’t want to feature only miniatures you’ve already seen, we came across Snorri Nosebiter among the collection.
This limited edition miniature was released in 2006 on a 40 mm base, alongside Gotrek, Felix, Max, and Ulrika. It was sculpted by Aly Morrison, who recently retired after a long career at Games Workshop, in collaboration with Alex Hedström.
Its proportions fit perfectly with the current range, so we decided to mount it on a square base to integrate it into the army. It makes an excellent Doomseeker, or even a unit champion. It’s a great way to breathe new life into this iconic miniature while giving it a place on the battlefields of Warhammer: The Old World.
We still have plenty of work ahead of us, but we’ll be back as soon as possible with even more Dwarf Slayers. Next up is a brand-new unit featuring a host of classic miniatures, sure to delight fans of old-school models and nostalgic collectors of the classic Citadel range.
