Hello everyone,
Today, we’re taking a look at an old Games Workshop game system: Warmaster. We were lucky enough to experience its launch back in the day and to own the original rulebook. However, due to a lack of available players and different purchasing priorities at the time, we never really took the time to dive into it properly.
Our recent immersion in Legion Imperialis has clearly reignited our interest in small-scale miniatures. It’s a real challenge for us, as we aim to maintain a high painting standard despite the reduced size of the models.
Now is the time to make up for past mistakes and set ourselves new goals. With Warmaster miniatures being hard to find today, often old and prohibitively expensive, 3D printing, combined with the evolution of community-driven rules, offers a wide range of possibilities. We therefore decided to start a 2,000 points Dark Elf army, with the long-term goal of pitting it against High Elves.
After long sessions of cleaning, preparation, and basing, we finally assembled our force. The resin, sometimes very brittle, and the extreme delicacy of the parts made this far from easy, but the result is there: the army is ready. All that remains is to hope that the spears survive future handling and games…
We are therefore pleased to present our first completed character, mounted on a 25 mm base with cut edges. This Sorceress allowed us to define our color scheme and the overall atmosphere we want to give the army once it is fully completed.
We will be working steadily on this project throughout the year and hope to do the same with the High Elves as soon as possible, so that we can offer you a small campaign and, who knows, perhaps explore other armies in the future.

At the bottom of each post, you’ll find a list of all related blog entries, which we’ll update as the project evolves.
