Hello everyone,
The ambitious conversion of the resin kits from Horus Heresy into plastic continues, and AdeptiCon 2026 has brought us a few interesting surprises.
Among them is the Spartan Prometheus Assault Tank. While it didn’t exactly make us jump for joy, it is an interesting variant, featuring an additional upgrade sprue. For a game like Horus Heresy, it remains very useful for customizing your armies, and this tank therefore fits perfectly into this review.
Even more interesting, especially for us, as we’re building a Solar Auxilia army, is the release of two new kits for this faction. Highly anticipated, the Charonite Ogryn Sections are finally here, and we’re genuinely thrilled to see them in plastic. These miniatures remain faithful to the original concept, although they are now offered in sets of four instead of three. The only minor drawback, personally, concerns the bare heads, which are a bit too caricatured for our taste. Fortunately, closed helmets can be added, providing options for all styles and preferences.
Following their release for the Legiones Astartes, the Rapier Fire Support Battery and Rapier Direct Fire Battery are now making their debut. Once again, we’re delighted to see these kits finally return to the range, with their plastic construction making them much easier to assemble and clean.
If we overlook the latest supplement, Journal Tactica: The Battle of Tallarn – Part 1, which once again multiplies paper releases without covering the battle in its entirety, Horus Heresy continues to captivate us. We therefore hope that Games Workshop will finally return to full campaign books, like the previous edition, and put an end to the proliferation of supplements that take up so much space and fragment the gaming experience.
