Hello everyone,
Today, we’re presenting the Scaile Dancer from our warband. It’s probably the miniature that gave us the most trouble in terms of inspiration. Its dragonfly-like shape didn’t quite fit with the visual identity of our army, which is heavily based on autumn tones.
We initially planned to combine a black and yellow carapace with dotted color accents, but unfortunately we ran out of time to fully develop this concept.
We therefore opted for a simpler approach, keeping a spotted pattern but within a monochrome palette of greys and blacks. This choice, combined with a slight lack of motivation for this model, is somewhat reflected in the final result.
Nevertheless, the miniature remains perfectly playable for our battle report, which was our main objective. We may come back to it later to improve it, although, like many hobbyists, we know how difficult it can be to revisit projects that are theoretically finished.
We’re continuing to push ahead to finalize the Seanchas Sidhe and the Scathach Hunters so they’ll be ready for tomorrow.
