Today we are presenting our very first annual review, retracing the major milestones of our 2025 year. This year above all marked the launch of our blog, a key and foundational step in our hobby project.
This review is an opportunity to take a step back, look at how far we’ve come, and lay the groundwork for the next stage of our adventure. Below are the miniatures we completed at 100%.
Our 2025 Painting Recap
- Yoroni – Conquest
We assembled and painted 1,000 points of Yoroni for Conquest. This includes: 1 Kitsune, 2 Kami, 2 Oni, 3 Origami Warriors, 2 Tengu Ayakashi, and 1 Genya no Yōkai. - Sentinels – Tomb Kings
We began a Tomb Kings army for The Old World, with a Tomb Prince fully painted and the basecoats completed on two units. - Greywater Fastness – Cities of Sigmar (AoS)
The start of a Cities of Sigmar army for Age of Sigmar, including a mounted Marshal fully painted and the basecoats applied to five Cavaliers. - Master of Grudges
We painted more than one hundred Slayers for Aubec—an ambitious and particularly time-consuming project. - Stormcast Eternals
The launch of our Vanguard Chamber army, with two heroes painted and the rest of the accompanying force assembled. - Marvel Crisis Protocol
Completion of a full team for a friend. - Blood Bowl
Painting of a Blood Bowl team for a friend, featured in an article even though it is not, strictly speaking, one of our personal projects.
Alongside these, there are of course the projects we worked on in collaboration with other people. However, they cannot truly be included in our annual review, though they give a good overview of the diversity of work completed this year. “In 2025, we have already published around a hundred articles since the blog launched at the end of September, not counting the translations, which double this figure. The objective has therefore been fully achieved for us. Here is an overview:
- ASOIAF: the start of a Stark army with two units and three characters.
- Adeptus Mechanicus: painting of four characters.
- Astra Militarum: completion of the character Sly Marbo.
- Death Guard: painting of numerous miniatures for the Apostles of Contagion force.
- Space Marines: painting of many miniatures for the Imperial Harbingers.
- Orruk Warclans: beginning of an Ironjawz army.
- Gorechosen: painting of several miniatures from the range.
- Warhammer Underworlds: painting of three complete warbands.
Overall, this makes for a very positive review of our year 2025. Many projects and goals are already in sight for 2026, and we hope to see them through successfully. The main obstacle to some side projects remains, of course, the budget (feel free to support us on PATREON).
