Hello everyone,
We’re back with our second Hobby Update article. As a reminder, these articles aim to show you, week by week, the progress of our projects in the hobby. It’s therefore time to take stock of what was announced in our first article.
Here is the list of goals we aimed to accomplish this week.
- Build the entire Stormcasts army of the Vanguard Chamber ❌
- Finish the Genya no Yokai of the Yoroni army ❌
- Progress on the cavalry of the Cities of Sigmar ❌
- Progress on the Tomb Guardians for The Old World ❌
- Index Militarum article ❌
- Shadespire article ✅
- Orruk article ✅
- Adeptus Mechanicus article ✅
So it’s a failure for this first week. We had to prioritize other articles in order to maintain our daily publishing pace. The Index Militarum article isn’t really a failure in itself, as we simply misjudged our schedule, and another article accidentally took its place. It will therefore be published on Monday or Tuesday.
As for painting, the Genya no Yokai is particularly exhausting. Since we are not die-hard fans of the model, progress is being made… but motivation is understandably not at its peak. However, it is still boosted by our goal of having a 1,000 points army fully painted by December 19, as explained in this article.
Regarding the cavalry and the Tomb Kings, unfortunately, we didn’t have time to work on them this week. The assembly of the Stormcast is almost finished and took quite a bit of time, as one of the miniatures had molding defects. We therefore had to improvise and sculpt replacement pieces, and setting up the Christmas tree clearly ended the time we had planned to dedicate to assembly.
As a bonus, we still managed to prime and base the 1,000 points Conquest army, ending the week on a positive note.
Additionally, we corrected the Warhammer Underworlds Shadespire category, which had a small issue with the hierarchy and language settings.
Ongoing Assemblies
We are currently preparing a package to continue one of our projects with one of our painters. We’re really excited to show you more! For the curious, this is the Stark Project.
The only small surprise is that commission rates have changed, meaning there will be slightly fewer painted miniatures than originally planned for this session. You can really help us produce more content by supporting us on PATREON.

Painting
Finish the final details of the Genya no Yokai, which gave us a hard time this week. Complete our unit of Origami Warriors and apply the base coats to all the units in our 1,000 points list.
We prefer not to make further predictions for other painting tasks at this stage.
Upcoming Blog Articles
In the coming days, we are preparing several articles for you, including:
- an Index Militarum (the one that wasn’t published last week),
- some Imperial Harbingers,
- a Master of Grudges,
- and Yoroni from Conquest.
We hope to satisfy you even more this time by completing all of our objectives. At the same time, we will add the second article on PATREON dedicated to the beginning of our project, formerly called The Fall of Praetoria.
