Hello everyone,
On this rainy Sunday, we’re introducing a brand new type of article: the Hobby Update.
Every Sunday, we’ll share a short recap of the progress on our current projects. The goal is simple: to share our progress, our ideas, our slowdowns… in short, our real hobbyist life in action! You’ll find these articles in the Hobby > Only Wargames Fans section.
This format also allows us to catch our breath between more substantial articles. It’s not always easy to make progress without freshly painted miniatures to show you, and you’ve already seen quite a few in recent weeks. The Hobby Update is therefore here to help us stay connected, keep a steady pace, and let you follow the progress of our projects week after week.
A blog built together with you
Feel free to support us to help the projects move forward faster. And don’t worry, support doesn’t have to be financial! You can contribute in several ways:
- by writing a short article or sharing your experience,
- by proposing a tutorial,
- by sharing your own progress, ideas…
Our medium-term goal is to turn this blog into a community space where everyone can contribute, showcase their work, and draw inspiration from others. Even the smallest contribution truly makes a difference.

Let’s move on to the projects we’re tackling this week:
Current Assemblies
This week, we plan to complete the assembly of our Stormcasts army from the Vanguard Chamber, about ten miniatures in total. Unfortunately, three bases of Vanguard Palladors seem to have been lost in the Warp… we haven’t been able to track them down yet.
Fortunately, not everything is grim, while searching the attic, we stumbled upon the ten Vanguard Hunters we had completely misplaced! A nice surprise that will allow us to make good progress.
Once all of these miniatures are assembled, we’ll start painting the first five Vanguard Hunters armed with swords.
In parallel, if we finally receive the Orruks (which seems unlikely this week…), we will also start assembling them to move this pending project forward.
Painting Progress
Our main goal is to complete the Genya no Yokai from the Yoroni army for Conquest. The painting has progressed well, but there are still some large areas to finish, particularly the entire arm.
In parallel, we are making progress on several other fronts:
- the Cities of Sigmar cavalry,
- the Tomb Guardians for The Old World.
The pace is good, and we hope to show you some impressive progress very soon!
Upcoming Blog Articles
In the coming days, we’re preparing several articles for you, including:
- an Index Militarum,
- a bit of Orruk,
- some Shadespire,
- and Adeptus Mechanicus.
As for the rest, nothing is set in stone yet, so we’ve got a few surprises in store depending on our progress and current inspirations!
That wraps up this first Hobby Update of the week. Projects are moving forward at their own pace, between rediscovered miniatures, major painting projects, and getting back into the swing of things after some health issues. As always, we do our best to share with you the evolution of our armies and our ideas, with plenty of passion and good humor.
We hope you’ll enjoy this format and that it will make you want to follow our hobby adventures every Sunday. And remember: this blog is meant to become a true community space. So don’t hesitate to participate, propose, comment, or simply drop by to say hello. Keeping up this pace isn’t always easy on our side, and a little help, in any form, is always welcome.
See you next week for a new Hobby Update, and in the meantime… may your brushes be inspired and your dice forgiving!
