Hello everyone,
Through this article, we’d like to share with you how we’ve worked on our texts since the very beginning of our project.
Creating these texts is a demanding, lengthy, and meticulous process. In the early days, when our project was still just a campaign website, artificial intelligence was not yet accessible to the general public. Each text was then the result of many successive drafts. For every page, every character, every article or historical account, we had to ask ourselves an endless number of questions.
The first step, especially when it comes to historical content, consists of researching all the available sources on the subject. And believe us: for certain topics, they are countless! This phase, albeit time-consuming, is essential because it allows us to avoid inconsistencies and contradictions.
When sources are scarce, creativity takes over; imagination then becomes our best ally. It is only after this foundational work that a first draft is born — which will then be reviewed, corrected and revised multiple times, in order to offer you the very best of ourselves.
Many people have contributed to the conception, editing and translation of these texts. Although the campaign site is no longer active, these writings have been repurposed and adapted for our project OnlyWargamesFans. You’ll be able to discover several of them in our Index section.
This article is also our opportunity to pay tribute to Dominique Guérin, who worked as a writer and proofreader on many of our texts, and who passed away after a long battle with illness. We hope you will appreciate her talent and sensitivity through her writings. Her irreplaceable skills will be deeply missed, yet we must move forward, even as we bear the sorrow that she could not witness the final launch of the project.
We hope that you will enjoy the texts and stories we offer, and that they will immerse you in the hobby you love. Whether inspired by historical events or entirely imagined, the studio always strives to provide you with the very best of its expertise.
