Hello everyone,
We’re kicking off a small side project featuring a Cadian army from the 122nd Regiment. Originally, this army was intended to take part in our Fall of Praetoria campaign, which we covered on our PATREON, and we started working on the project with that goal in mind.
As the project has since evolved, we put it on hold. However, with the army already well underway, we plan to use it in future battle reports connected to our White Dwarf review project. We also plan to build another, more modern army painted in the colours of the 8th Cadian Regiment, but that’s a story for another time!
In the meantime, you can find a detailed history of the 122nd Cadian Regiment in this article. We’ll resume painting new miniatures once our Imperial Harbingers Space Marines and Death Guard projects are complete, as both armies are already around three-quarters of the way finished.
Nevertheless, we still have a few miniatures to showcase, along with some painting tutorials related to this army. As we’ve already explained in our weekly hobby roundups, we now want to focus on projects we’ve already started, bringing them to a temporary conclusion while keeping an eye on upcoming releases.
We’re starting this project with a fairly classic miniature: an Imperial Commissar. His uniform doesn’t specifically match that of the 122nd Cadian Regiment, but he still fits perfectly into the project.
Once again, Sigur from BattleBrush Studios is handling the painting of this miniature and will be joining us throughout the project. We hope this miniature whets your appetite! We’ll be back very soon with more articles dedicated to this army.
In addition, some miniatures from our Imperial Agents army will fit perfectly into this project. To avoid duplicating content, we invite you to check out the articles already published about that army, where you can discover these miniatures while you wait for the next instalment of our adventures with the 122nd Cadian Regiment.
