Hello everyone,

Today, we would like to take a moment to talk about the future of our involvement in the StarCraft Tabletop Miniature Game project.

First of all, we would like to thank Archon Studio for its investment in the project, as well as for the miniatures they have sent us. So far, this has been an extraordinary experience, with a lot of positive things to take away from it. We now have a beautiful Protoss army that is around 80% painted, and we have just received our starter set featuring the Zerg and Terrans.

Regarding Beta Wave 2, we took part in this second beta wave and will be presenting the various units, accompanied by painted miniatures, when the game officially releases. Archon Studio rewarded this second, very closed beta wave with a discount, allowing us to create content around the future kits included in this phase.

As for Beta Wave 3, this phase was opened to more groups. However, we clearly felt an increasingly strong focus towards competitive play. As casual players, we sometimes felt a little pushed aside, despite our participation and commitment to the project. Nevertheless, we were able to get an idea of the rules for future releases and upcoming content. It is from this third wave onward that the future has become more uncertain.

The requirements for continuing with the beta have been tightened, clearly leaving casual players on the sidelines. Our group was already relatively small to begin with, and the number of battles we are expected to play, along with the feedback we are required to provide, has now become impossible for us to keep up with.

We find it unfortunate that a group that participates according to its possibilities, while remaining active and producing content around the game, should be left out in this way. At the moment, we therefore have no answer as to whether or not we will be participating in the next wave of testing.

We also do not know whether the studio will continue to support collaborations that allow us to regularly provide you with content in French. If this support were to disappear, the frequency of our blog posts would inevitably decrease, as producing all this content without assistance represents far too much of an investment for the participants.

Despite all these questions, we are absolutely not abandoning the game. At the moment, StarCraft Tabletop Miniature Game is a very good game, and we will continue to bring you content featuring our armies and our future games.

However, the lack of communication from the studio, the rumors that Blizzard may be parting ways with the StarCraft license, and the increasing focus on the competitive scene inevitably raise new questions.

Some of you are already asking yourselves the same questions, and unfortunately, we cannot provide any answers today.

The game has made a strong start, and we sincerely hope that things will continue to go just as well.

And, as a bonus, we especially hope that we will not be left behind by the studio.

Don’t hesitate to support us on PATREON!
