Hello everyone,
Let’s start this new year with progress on our Yoroni army project. We initially put together a 1,000 points army list with the goal of producing a battle report. Building on this first experience, which was overall very enjoyable, we nevertheless found that the game is much better suited to larger formats.
We therefore decided, on the one hand, to move up to 2,000 points and, on the other hand, to spend more time refining the list so that it would be more thoughtful, coherent, and balanced. We also chose to keep all the miniatures from the previous list, as they were already painted, which made their integration easier and allowed us to build around them to complete the list up to 2,000 points.
Here, then, is the 2,000 points army list:
- Kistune Bakasu – 130 pts Warlord, Horagai Master
- Modular Regiment – 235 pts Oni Ayakashi (2), Kappa Bushi (1)
- Modular Regiment – 180 pts Origami Warriors (3)
- Modular Regiment – 180 pts Origami Warriors (3)
- Genya no Yokai – 260 pts
- Kistune Onmyoji – 110 pts
- Modular Regiment – 160 pts Tengu Ayakashi (2)
- Modular Regiment – 160 pts Tengu Ayakashi (2)
- Daimyo – 125 pts Kenshibu Dancer
- Modular Regiment – 235 pts Kami Ayakashi (2), Kappa Bushi (1)
- Modular Regiment – 225 pts Tengu Bushi (3)
We therefore reach exactly 2,000 points and bring a real strategic improvement to the list, with unit choices that are far more considered than in the previous version. At the start of this year, we still need to paint the following models in order to fully complete the initial list: 1 Kitsune Onmyoji, 2 Kappa Bushi, 4 Origami Warriors, 2 Tengu Ayakashi, and 3 Tengu Bushi.
We hope to finish this list during the first quarter of 2026, with the aim of playing larger-scale games or even embarking on a campaign. This is all the more relevant as Parabellum is planning to release, in January, a narrative expansion that includes the Yoroni. We will therefore also need to factor this exclusive miniature into our painting schedule.
